According to scientists with the National Weather Service Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC), disruptions with GPS mapping (including on cell phones) could be disrupted. HAM radio disruptions are also possible and have been reported in Australia already. Disruptions to other electronics including televisions are not expected.
In addition to possible electronic disruptions, another effect of a geomagnetic storm is the Aurora, or the Northern Lights.
The best time to view will between 11PM-2AM tonight 3/17 however you should be able to spot them by looking north in any dark area at any time.
